Synopsis:

Project Portfolio Management (PPM) is the centralized management of the processes, methods, and technologies used by project managers and project management offices (PMOs) to analyze and collectively manage current or proposed projects based on numerous key characteristics. The objectives of PPM are to determine the optimal resource mix for delivery and to schedule activities to best achieve an organization’s operational and financial goals, while honouring constraints imposed by customers, strategic objectives, or external real-world factors.

    Walter Sedlacek is a IT project and program manager of large change and process re-engineering initiatives in the ICT and telecommunications industries. He has implemented PMOs and organization-wide project management competencies as CIO and business manager in EMEA and Asia working for companies like T-Systems and GM.
  • Thomas Martin, Senior Consultant, next level consulting, MBA, PMP
    Thomas Martin is a strategy and transformation program manager with a focus on financial and professional services industries. He has managed project and innovation portfolios for several years as business manager and consultant roles for companies like Microsoft, AT Kearney and Capgemini in the US, EMEA and Asia.
