Deepen your skills as a project manager and maintain your status as a PMP®, CAPM® or ACP®!
To maintain your certificate of competence, you must demonstrate Professional Development Units (PDUs) through project management-related continuing education within a specified period of time.
These PDUs can be earned through various professional development activities in the following two areas:
- Education - learning opportunities that enable you to enhance and improve your technical, leadership or strategic and business management skills.
- Giving back to the Profession - Activities that enable you to share and use your knowledge and skills to contribute to building the profession.
There are different CCR* requirements for each PMI certification, which are described below:

The PMI Talent Triangle:

- Ways of Working (ex. Technical Project Management) ⇒ Project management methods
- Power Skills (ex. Leadership) ⇒ Leadership skills of project managers
- Business Acumen (ex. Strategic and Business Management) ⇒ General understanding of management
Your re-certification opportunities with next level:
- All next level academy trainings, courses, webinars and events can be credited as proof of qualification for recertification in the "Education" category.
- The following applies: One hour corresponds to 1 PDU. You will therefore be credited with 7 PDUs per completed training day.
- For the re-certification of your CAPM status you require at least 2 PDUs from each of the three areas, for the re-certification of your PMP status at least 8 PDUs, and for the re-certification of your PMI-ACP status at least 4 PDUs from each of the three areas.
All re-certification candidates receive a discount of 10% when booking at least three training days.
